The power to direct your attention is vital in any life situation.

This is especially true for leaders.

Leaders have many people depending upon them to stay FOCUSED amidst an array of external storms.

The pressing demands of the world call upon them and they need to find that INNER STILL POINT to guide them—

The still point to provide them with POWERFUL insights so they can make CLEAR and PRECISE decisions with EASE and GRACE.

This is the ideal scene.

And, this is where Zen Buddhist Meditation, accessing presence and following your inner guidance truly SHINE.

They are the PERFECT practices for profound leadership.

Alex Mill, a former Zen monk and now Zen Life Coach, will open the The Art of Inner Leadership by teaching you the simple, yet profound, practice of Zen Buddhist Meditation. Zen Buddhist Meditation trains your mind to become a dutiful servant. The entire sitting posture is specifically designed to provide a relaxed — yet alert — attitude. When your inner world is calm, centered, focused, peaceful, joyful, and powerful — you will naturally perform at exponential levels — not only in your professional life, but in your personal life as well.

Alex will then team up with Karen Davis, a powerful and intuitive Executive Coach, to lead you through a series of exercises that will give you a safe haven to train in the art of mastering and commanding your own attention. You will have the tools you need to access presence whenever you need it and you will have a direct experience of these techniques. This is not just theory. You will be guided and facilitated to share your experiences with the group to deepen and anchor your insights.

The day will conclude with Karen leading everyone through an exploration of cultivating your inner guidance or intuition. This is the ability to cut through the static and tune into your inner radio station, which has valuable information and is always present when you can hear and see it. Often referred to as your “gut instincts”, this deep, intuitive superpower has the potential to help you break through the box of “just how it is” and to see possibilities that expand beyond the ordinary logical mind.

  • Learn how to bring the practice of Zen Buddhist Meditation into your everyday life.
  • Discover your own personal strategies for creating an inner still point and directing your attention.
  • Create more presence in your life by identifying the continual distractions that impede your daily progress.
  • Optimize work performance and improve your leadership skills.
  • Discover how to capture and trust your inner guidance.
  • Learn simple exercises that will ground you, provide greater clarity, focus and additional energy.
  • Walk away with new ideas and experiences for cultivating simple, supported mindfulness practices that will begin to transform every aspect of your life for maximum effectiveness and ease.

The workshop on this day is just the beginning. As a daily practice, these techniques can literally begin to train your mind and rewire your brain. And, as a result, your concentration will increase and you’ll see your world with increased clarity and judgment. Your capacity as the leader of your life inside the workplace and at home will be greatly enhanced.

Alex also offers a powerful, self-guided, 30-day online retreat called, Heart-to-Heart: Compassionate Self-Mentoring. The retreat gives participants the experience of mentoring themselves through any challenge and replacing resistance with the love, wisdom, and patience they had hoped to receive from others.
You can also join his latest online program, Zen Meditation Circle, which includes video instruction on meditation, a copy of his book, Meditation and Reinventing Yourself, two months of daily support emails, and a private online forum to ask questions and receive encouragement.

I went into The Art of Inner Leadership looking to address anxious, stirring feelings that I was struggling to overcome. We were greeted with warmth and kindness by Karen and Alex. The friendliness of the other participants was also immediately apparent (and welcome to me as this was my first group session). It was a beautiful venue filled with bright minds. We were guided through the “why’s” and “how’s” while working through a thoughtful array of meditations and discussions. I love that the sessions were taught, not administered, and sharing our experiences built a sense of comradery throughout the group. Karen and Alex empowered me to continue my own personal discovery through meditation. Since the The Art of Inner Leadership, I’ve been able to calm the chatter in my mind and gain focus and clarity. It was a profound and meaningful experience that continues to guide me through my days.

As a corporate-focused person, I was interested in the pragmatic side of the workshop and more curious as to the softer side of the workshop. I found that Alex and Karen were perfect balances for each other and helped to draw everyone into the power of quiet but smart self-discovery. They had us busy all day with useful practices and thought-provoking group conversations that captured something for everyone to bring back into a work environment. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to stretch their learning!

Strong leadership has it’s origins in one’s ability to truly know and manage themselves effectively. When professional coaching experts Karen Davis and Alex Mill created the “Art of Inner Leadership,” they developed a great mix of instruction and unique activities that guided participants toward self-discovery. An added bonus of the course was the opportunity to meet and interact with a group of eclectic people who freely shared their experiences and insights, resulting in thought-provoking discussions and insights on how to eliminate distractions and focus on what’s truly important. I discovered that like most people, I need to trust my intuition and act upon it rather than always try to prove its validity. For those who want to develop greater focus in this age of constant distractions, tap into their intuition, and take their leadership skills to the next level, I highly recommend spending a day with Karen and Alex to put yourself on a path to discovery.

The Art of Inner Leadership was exactly what I needed. For months, I had a voice in my head telling me to start meditating. What I didn’t realize until Art of Inner Leadership was that this voice was one of many voices in my head competing for my attention. Alex and Karen artfully crafted an experience that began with a simple, practical explanation of Zen Buddhist meditation technique then wound through a series of exercises that sharpened our awareness as observers of our thoughts. Throughout the day we met and shared deep insights and intuition with others in our group and ended the day in meditation. Since attending Art of Inner Leadership I have started meditating every morning. Thank you Alex and Karen!
